"Push poll" targets Poor-ol' Ohio

A CommonDreams article exposes callers posing as pollsters who ask leading questions, aiming to damage Obama's reputation. The groups behind the tactic haven't been identified yet, but this could really hurt McCain's campaign if these people are in any way tied to him. (Or if the media networks pick up on it.)

This article features a woman from Pennsylvania who said that someone called asking about her background first, then aimed a question at her once she told them she was Jewish. "The pollster went on to ask Minden, who is Jewish, how she would vote if she knew that Obama was supported by Hamas, the Palestinian militant group that runs Gaza and was responsible for most of the suicide bombings against Israel."
"In Key West, Florida, another swing state, Joelna Marcus, 71, a retired professor, had a similar experience. She was asked if she would be influenced if she learned that Obama had donated money to the Palestine Liberation Organisation."
"Huffington Post website reported that a reader, named Rachel from Strongsville, Ohio, complained of a push poll that portrayed Obama as a radical leftwinger who had voted to let convicted child sex offenders out early and to allow them to live near schools."

No one I've spoken to from my home state of Ohio has heard anything about this -- which is in a way positive, I guess, if it hasn't spread too far, but also negative if they haven't heard that it's happening. This could sway the votes of a lot of battleground states if this was brought to the forefront and exposed.
