"Don't call it a Comeback"

-and yes that was a "Mama Said Knock You Out" reference.

Is it odd that the Drudge Report Web site today had a McCain photo at the top with the headline "Ready for Come Back?" and directly above it was a negative ad ABOUT McCain?

These are the things that ran through my head:
Do people edit this? Does he realize that it looks odd and maybe a logical option would be changing it? Another option is taking off candidates' ads on these types of Web sites altogether, seeing as how they sway people more than the headlines.
The story the "come back" leads to is about how McCain is struggling and because of it he has a new speech about how confident he is.
Why in the first paragraph of this story does the author (Mike Allen) feel comfortable calling him "scrappy" and "feisty"?
"Three weeks before Election Day, John McCain on Monday unveiled a feisty new stump speech in which he portrayed himself as a scrappy fighter on the comeback trail against an opponent who’s already “measuring the drapes” in the Oval Office."
Lastly, why is the picture of McCain of him pointing as if he just hit a home run, but the image of Obama beneath that is an awkward shot of him kissing a woman on the cheek?
